Some stories start in a library. This one started at bedtime.

SlothTurtle HQ began with stories I made up for my daughter. A sloth named Dreamy who protects a magical forest, and his friend Dangler who is… less calm about it. These stories were never written down. They just lived in the air between us at the end of the day.

But the more stories we made, the louder they got. They wanted to exist somewhere real.

So here we are.

My daughter named the characters, shaped the world, and kept demanding more adventures. Dreamy and Dangler are as much hers as they are mine.

Why SlothTurtle? Our two spirit animals, hers and mine. Sloths got here first. Dreamy and Dangler have a lot of adventures ahead. Turtles are coming. They’re just taking their time. That’s their style!

We love nature. Always have. So when Dreamy became a forest protector, that was just how it was meant to be. It came straight from the real world we already wanted to celebrate and protect. The magical forest and the real one aren’t so different, really.

This is a place for the stories we built together. And for the wild places that inspired them
